Centre Director
Our service’s operations are managed on a day to day basis by our centre director who is available to all families for any query or concern. If families require a lengthy meeting we encourage you to make an appointment at a mutually suitable time. We encourage your constructive feedback about the service operations and practices at all times.

Management Committee
Merindah Children’s Centre, Wallsend is a community based not-for profit organisation managed by a management committee comprised of parent representatives who are elected each year.

Becoming a member on the committee provides a great opportunity to families to be involved in decision making for their child and the children at the centre. It can be a rewarding experience to take on a role as a member. Families are encouraged to become involved and become part of the management team each year. An annual general meeting of the organsation is held in March each year and opportunities to become one of the seven members of the committee are available at this time. If you are interested in knowing more or considering taking up a position please speak to the director of the service who will direct you to a board member for further information.

Hours and Times of Operation
The service is open from 7.30am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday 50 weeks per year. We are closed for all gazetted public holidays.
Fees are not be charged for gazetted public holidays.
The centre is also closed for 2 weeks over the Christmas and New Year Holiday period from around the 21st December each year until 9th January each year. Exact dates are advised on a yearly basis in advance.
